What is Decoupage?

Decoupage is an art form that dates back to the 16th century. It is a craft technique in which objects such as furniture, boxes, ornaments, and artwork are decorated by gluing cut-outs of images onto them. Paper napkins and pages from vintage books and magazines are commonly used for this craft. The process involves using multiple layers of adhesive, usually glue or varnish, to build up the desired design.
